About MMARI

The Modern Meta-Analysis Research Institute (MMARI) is accepting applications for its upcoming session on state-of-the-art and accessible methods for conducting meta-analyses. This workshop is aimed at educational researchers interested in a range of disciplines including: science, technology, engineering, mathematics, psychology, education policy, social science, political science, geographical sciences, and related disciplines funded by NSF (NSF STEM Education Directorate)

The training will:

  • Provide researchers with a comprehensive, introductory meta-analysis workshop focused on state-of-the-art and freely accessible methods, including use of the R/RStudio statistical program. Like other introductory courses, MMARI is targeted at early-career researchers with no previous experience with meta-analysis.
  • Provide researchers with knowledge and tools related to Open Science principles to conduct research openly and transparently and present findings to policymakers and practitioners.

The workshop includes four and one half days of training and one half day of group presentations. Each day will include four sessions and time to work on the group project. The integrative project will provide participants with an opportunity to practice conducting a meta-analysis.
