Creating a STEM Identity in Graduate School
Creating a STEM Identity in Graduate School
Developing a strong professional and research identity is a critical, and often underexamined, component of graduate education in STEM. In this one-hour web event, principal investigators from NSF EDU Core Research (ECR) and Innovations in Graduate Education (IGE) shared project findings about graduate students' STEM identity formation.
Through brief, focused presentations followed by facilitated breakout discussions, speakers highlighted program designs, mentoring practices, and learning environments that promote healthy STEM identity formation.
