ECR Hub AERA Panel and Roundtable Discussion

NSF EDU Assistant Director Dr. James L. Moore III along with event co-hosts Dr. Allan Wigfield, Dr. Ilana Horn, and Dr. Larry Hedges invite the ECR community to a free boxed lunch during a moderated panel (first half) and roundtable discussions (second half) about emerging topics in fundamental STEM education research.

Dr. Roni Ellington, Morgan State University, will moderate a 45-minute discussion panel with three experienced ECR grantees representing fundamental research on STEM learning and learning environments, broadening participation in STEM, and STEM workforce development.

Following the panel, attendees will join topic-specific roundtable discussions led by the event co-hosts and panelists. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions about NSF ECR proposal development as well as share their thoughts on new emerging topics relevant to ECR.

Dr. Moore and ECR program officer Dr. Andrea Nixon will attend to both (a) answer questions about ECR funding opportunities and (b) gather community input about how future ECR solicitations can further expand and strengthen ECR’s support of relevant emerging research topics and diverse scholars interested in fundamental STEM education research.
