Orientation for ECR:Core and ECR:BCSER PIs on Managing NSF Grants

In this one-hour webinar, program officers with the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) share insights on managing NSF EDU Core Research (ECR) grants, including BCSER Individual Investigator Development (IID), ECR-CAREER, and ECR:Core awards.

Topics include submitting annual reports to NSF, building relationships with NSF program officers (such as when and how to reach out), understanding what project changes require prior NSF approval, and exercising the freedoms allowed PIs in the Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG). A question-and-answer session follows the main presentation.

Who will benefit: This webinar is designed for first-time PIs, but all active ECR PIs and co-PIs will find the information of value.

Presenters:

  • Rob Ochsendorf, EdD, Program Director, NSF EDU Core Research (ECR)
  • Dawn Rickey, PhD, Co-Lead Program Director, NSF ECR; Lead Program Director, Building Capacity in STEM Education Research (ECR:BCSER)
