This workshop was hosted by the ECR Hub as part of the 2024 ECR PI Meeting. The workshop targeted ECR:Core PIs interested in expanding their research portfolio through funding opportunities beyond the ECR program. The workshop first engaged attendees in drafting a 5-year research portfolio plan, including attendees’ goals, focus areas, and project ideas. The facilitators then walked attendees through how to find and select funding mechanisms that align with their long-term research portfolio plans. A special focus included the four NSF funding programs that ECR PIs most wanted to learn more about (EDU Racial Equity, IUSE, DRK-12, and INCLUDES).
